1. Installation
- Install Team Availability from the monday.com marketplace on your account (account administrators can approve the app for your organization).
- Approve the requested OAuth permissions at installation.
- Open a workspace or board and add the Team Availability view from the views gallery.
- Account administrators can open Team Availability Settings from monday.com account settings.
2. Application views
- Workspace View — Team calendar, My Leave, approvals queue, today/week summary, and reports.
- Board View — Week availability strip showing who's out among board subscribers and owners.
- Settings — Admins configure leave types, teams, working days, approver routing, and board scope.
3. Leave requests
- Click Request leave and choose a leave type and date range.
- Single-day requests support full day, morning (AM), or afternoon (PM) partial leave.
- Edit or cancel your own pending requests from My Leave.
- Approvers review pending requests in the Approvals tab. Account admins can override any request.
4. Team calendar
Week, month, and list views show approved and pending leave. Filter by person, leave type, status, or team. Toggle Show all members to include the full account directory (requires admin OAuth connection in Settings).
The today/this week summary widget gives a quick snapshot of who's out now and in the coming days.
5. Reports
- Attendance — Tabular leave history with grouping and CSV/XLSX export (licensed accounts).
- Coverage — Daily headcount available vs total for planning; highlights days below your configured threshold.
6. Settings (administrators)
Account administrators manage:
- Leave types (e.g. vacation, sick leave, personal day)
- Default working days and past-leave policy
- Lightweight teams for calendar filtering and approver routing
- Approver mode: account admin, explicit approvers, or team leads
- Board member scope for the availability strip
- Coverage threshold for reports
- monday.com OAuth connection for full directory access
7. Licensing
An active subscription or trial is required for leave request creation, approvals, settings changes, and CSV/XLSX export. Read-only calendar and report views may be available on unlicensed accounts. Billing is handled through monday.com native app monetization.
